The entire cast is perfect. Especially Raul Julia and Christopher Lloyd.

Based on the ‘60s television sitcom, The Addams Family is wickedly funny. The story follows a shyster lawyer who tries to pull a con on the strangely macabre Addams Family by passing off an impostor as their long lost uncle Fester. Featuring Anjelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd, and Christina Ricci, the performances are extraordinarily good; particularly Huston, who does an incredible job at delivering the dry, morbid humor. In fact, the comedy is exceptionally well-written and includes a lot of outrageous sight gags. Full of laughs, The Addams Family is an insanely fun and hysterical family film.

Definitely one of if not the best film adaption of a classic TV Sitcom, it gets most thing right although I had a problem with how underused Lurch was. In the show he’s the most endearing characters but in this he doesn’t even have a line, which I understand that he’s mute in the comics but don’t tell me the movie is based on the comics rather than the show. A lot of the characteristics of this version The Addams Family were taken straight from the show, along with props like the Bruno the polar bear rug and cleopatra; Morticia plant. That’s probably my biggest problem outside of the plot being a bit overdone and flat, because of this thought the family has time for character moments that make the whole thing worth watching. It’s honestly a fun movie all around.

All the characters are interesting and unique but the movie as a whole wasn't great.

I love this movie. Was a bit confusing when I was little wondering who was and if Uncle Fester was an imposter or not. My favorite part of this movie was seeing the Addams adjusting in modern society after getting kicked out lol.

Wednesday Addams is my queen!
Morticia and Gomez are THE best married couple of all time and they're at the center of the most well-adjusted, supportive, and loving family ever portrayed in fiction. I absolutely adore this movie and the way it manages to subvert every stereotype, be funny as hell, provide iconic one-liners, and subtly convey such positive life lessons that feel fresh even after nearly 30 years from its release.
