"Welcome to Sherwood, my lady!" The Adventures of Robin Hood is such a fun film. The colors, the fighting set pieces, the adventure, the archery tournament, Errol Flynn rocks being Sir Robin, Claude Rains is always a highlight, the humor is fun too and I just loved the ending. Never really seen any of the early Hollywood adventure movies and haven't seen any other work with Errol Flynn in it, but that door is opened now and he's on my radar! So yeah anyway, if you are up for some fun, watch this one!

Quite silly fun. Errol Flynn continues to grate on my nerves--he thinks he's more charming than he is, and he's incapable of wiping that smirk off his face. Still, it's easy to overlook the overacting and the poor swordfights and just bask in the Technicolor spectacle of it all.

Despite being a household name, Robin Hood is one figure with whom I'm not all that familiar. Sure, I read the original Howard Pyle book...but that was all the way back when I was in elementary school. The only flicks I've seen before that relate to the legends are _Prince of Thieves_ (rat More

Outstanding - no other word for this. Easily the best of the adaptations of the "Robin Hood" stories of English folklore from the end of the 13th century. The magnificent colour, costumes, sword and archery prowess, even the slightly unconvincing sets all contribute to an excellent effort. Errol Fly More
