I read the book and it was massive. An extremely long detailed story that takes the reader through several years. This one somehow summarizes the whole book and shows the major events only. Those who read the book will definitely enjoy the film but the ones who did not might find it out of the blue with no storyline or so. To me it was quite enjoyable.

A distant melodrama that builds a supposedly passionate story around Villa Tugendhat's early modernism. The "Glass House" becomes the element of union and survival in a country occupied by the Nazis and later by the Communists. But the director's decisions creates a dispassionate film, only romantic in Antoni Komasa-Łazarkiewicz's score. Because the images and the story show the tedium of incompetence.
