Serviceable cheesy 80s creature horror. It has so much energy but runs out of steam a bit too quickly. Everything feels disjointed not in a so-bad-is-good way and a few characters seem to be from different films, if that makes sense. It pretty much feels like a first timer making this and the acting is also not that great. The creature and practical effects, however, are fairly well-done and I appreciate that this is an Easter-themed horror since they're quite rare.

This movie is pretty terrible. The only reason I give it 2 stars is that it answers a question I've been trying to solve for over 20 years. When I was a kid, we rented horror movies to watch at my uncle's house. One was Razorback, a phenomenal movie. The other, I was convinced, was titled "The Bean". I have been looking for this movie based on the only scene I remember which was blurry at best. I saw The Being pop up on Amazon and figured I'd give it a shot. I started it and immediately recognized the scenes I'd been forever trying to place. The Being equals The Bean when you're a little kid!!! Wow! So cool that the question is answered. A small weight has been lifted. Now the movie, is awful. I have no clue why I remember it fondly. The acting is bad, the story is bad and etc etc. Honestly, watch the credits though. For some reason, they make me smile.
