Ehhh, tough one. Stanwyck is one of my all-time favorites, but there was a bit too much going on here to look past. The yellowface goes without saying, not to mention the more overt forms of racism and orientalism, but the love story also seemed a little underbaked and dull. Gorgeous costumes, though, and it truly is such a delight to see Stanwyck in her pre-Code days.
