The first time I watched the movie, I didn't noticed that he is blind. But when you rewatch it, you can see all the little hints for it. Really cool. But every Denzel movie is cool ^_^

The Book of Eli is collection of all the things I love, so I might be a little bit biased. Please view the following words with that in mind.

The Book of Eli takes place in amazing post-apocalyptic world, that very much resembles a world of 'Fallout' and 'Wasteland' games. Main hero owns the very last copy of Bible in the world. Book that is not only amazing message, but also the strongest power tool in the world.

Breathtaking shots, amazing and believable atmosphere of the post-apocalyptic world, together with perfect choreography made Book of Eli a movie I have to recommend to absolutely everyone, right after The Matrix.

The Book of Eli is an excellent film itself and an excellent spin on the post-apocalyptic genre.

_The Book of Eli_ is a masterpiece of cinematography and storytelling. Denzel Washington gives a powerful performance as Eli, a lone traveler on a mission to protect a sacred book that holds the key to humanity's future. The movie is visually stunning, with amazing landscapes and impressive action scenes that are expertly choreographed. What sets _The Book of Eli_ apart from other post-apocalyptic movies is its exploration of faith, morality, and the human condition. It's a movie that makes you think, and it's one that stays with you long after the credits roll. In my opinion, _The Book of Eli_ is even better than _Mad Max_, as it combines all the best elements of an action movie with a deep and meaningful message.

As end-of-the-world tales go, this is one worth watching. Denzel Washington's character is lethal and mysterious and his mission is as noble as they come. You understand right from the beginning that he's required to save the world. You can compare him to Mad Max in the "Road Warrior", but he's not in it for himself.

It's great to see Jennifer Beals in something successful besides "Flashdance" and Gary Oldman is the best in the business. He's great in everything he appears in. There is a lot of violence here and some better than average fight scenes. The film's look is impressive with it's exceedingly grainy visuals and gray, dingy palette. A big deal was made out of the "twist" and the ending of "The Book of Eli". Many felt a line was crossed regarding the Christian themes explored. I found it refreshing because mainstream movies don't have the guts or desire to be anything but secular.

One of the most dishonest (to the viewer) scripts I've ever seen. Everything that anyone might "ooo" and "ahhh" about either makes no sense regarding reality, is morally horrifying, or is an outright nonsensical misdirection on the part of the film makers. It's all an empty gimmick, and it's not particularly entertaining along the way.

Without a doubt my favourite film.

So cleverly done to make a film that’s appealing to millions, which carries such strong messages.

>"Cursed be the ground for our sake. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for us. For out of the ground we were taken, for the dust we are... and to the dust we shall return."

Right in the middle of an era where post apocalyptic movies were poppin'. Not bad, not the best, but Denzel Washington always brings his A-game. The action seens are what stick out for me in this. Brutal and quick moves.

The action scenes in this :kissing_closed_eyes::ok_hand_tone2:

The only thing I don't get is why Mila's character had a bitch fit over the book when her "dad" frequently has men go on missions to find and bring back books that he just burns. Surely she's seen her "fair share" of them, no?
