Good lord some of the comments here are really trashing this movie, and it isn't trash at all. It's not the best movie I've ever seen or anything, but it does exactly what it's aiming for and does it well. I didn't find it slow at all, I didn't find it cliche, I don't think this is a story I've seen before and it didn't feel corny to me either. I get the impression people have sky high standards these days and don't give movies like this the fair chance they deserve.

"The Book of Clichés" is a much fitting title. An obvious joke to a paper fin movie.

I was actually interested in this for awhile since it's development. The cast was the real reason behind my anticipation, since I've seen great potential from them. Until you see the final product and realize you wasted a few years of your life.

There's nothing like actors you respect phoning it in with terrible accents. Especially from Maisie Williams who you clearly hear her actual accent slip in and out every time she yells. Really awful performance and it's a shame coming from a talented actress.

Sitting through this movie felt like work and failed to keep my attention. Every thing is so dull and cliché, you practically can see it all coming. At the end, it's just not worth it.

To quote the song lyrics played towards the end of movie...'The Book of Love is long and boring.' How apt! The film means well but never manages to hit the emotional buttons it's targeting. Corny and contrived, good actors are lost at sea in the shallow water of this drama.

The only reason that this movie has any redeeming qualities at all is because the three leads are excellent (I am a fan of all three and that's the only reason I gave this a look). Don't get me wrong - the script is awful and the film is one long cliché. And it's sloooooow - the only reason I got through it is because I was watching it while jogging on the treadmill. I think someone could make a drinking game where you'd drink every time Maisie Williams made an attempt at a Louisiana accent. And the music... terribly cliched coffeehouse crap you'd hear on an adult contemporary station (which is surprising because Timberlake was behind it). But in the end you kind of have to give in to it and it is satisfying on some Hallmarkish level.
