The owner of a company has been disguising himself as an ordinary employee for years to avoid the complaints of his subordinates and the moral burden of his administrative choices. One day, he ends up hiring an actor to play the fictitious "boss of it all" and have him take the blame for all the poor decisions he has made up to that point.

As a comedy, it doesn't turn out to be particularly hilarious, but it does explore various dynamics of leadership and workplaces without trivializing them.

The film is also the first and only experiment with the “automavision” technique, where the camera is programmed to move on its own without the intervention of an operator, often framing whatever the machine wants.

First contact with von trier cinema and i don't have much to say except it was awful, not a single laugh or good time watching it.

@great_vc well, is a very intellectual European satire, for a few, not for all. Personally, I loved it.
