There is nothing PC about this movie. It sums up baby boomer attitudes pretty spot on.

@uberdroog is that supposed to be a bad thing? PC.. should be banned, you guys actually like banning don't you? :)<br /> Oh, I'm actually not a boomer, but nowadays, nothing is fun anymore. I'm glad I'm not an anxiety person, seems common in some generations

I can't help it...

Even though I know this movie probably isn't all that for most people, I love it. The cars, the sounds, the comedy...love them!!! It all might be nostalgia from my childhood, but who cares.

I love The Cannonball Run!!!

Storyless drivel typical of the 70s and early 80s.

This must have been quite the movie. A heap of famous actors of the era (although I did have to look quite a few of them up), a heap of what must have been incredible cars (Lamborghini, Rolls, Porsche, Aston Martin, etc), all in a story that could be summarised in a short paragraph. There were some interesting bits like a young Jackie Chan in an early Subaru, or James Bond in the Aston Marton

But would made it really stand out was the impressive level of racism and misogyny that was just part of it (including a a nice kidnapping of a woman who then become "one of the team")

But really, it beautifully highlighted "the past is a foreign country" - it really made me think it was from a different world. Enjoyable for the novelty value

@peteo "impressive level of racism and misogyny"? Where, why? It's comedy though
