I think it's the first time that I didn't fully enjoy a Martin Scorsese film.

The first hour didn't work very well for me, I caught myself thinking about other stuff, unfortunately I was getting bored, I wasn't totally concentrated. The second half of the film it's when things started to get interesting due to the intensification of the conflict between the two main characters.

I guess what turns it into such a heavy film to see and it causes us some kind of monotony too, is the fact that almost every scene is passed into pool halls. The pace in the first half is not the best too.

Paul Newman gives a great performance and Tom Cruise is always good playing this kind of "boy with an attitude" roles. I was impressed by seeing that most of the scenes where the characters are playing pool it's actually Newman and Cruise playing. Their pool skills are very good!

Martin Scorsese used his best skills to film this one, it's absolutely well filmed. He turns pool games into gorgeous things to look at. The editing is also great.

Too bad it didn't captivated me since the beginning. The Color of Money is not a bad film but I expected more.
