Despite the all-star cast, apparently there's a reason why I "discovered" this movie on a Spanish-language channel & none of the actors mention they did this cinematic garbage on "Entertainment Tonight." It's just another loud action movie w/ a non-sensical story & overpaid actors slumming their way through trite dialogue. The only benefit is it makes my big screen TV look good, but the film's better enjoyed w/ the volume up while washing dishes or using your phone nearby instead of actively following the atrocious movie. Also for some reason Javier Bardem looks like Brad Garrett playing a drug lord.

i think the problem people are having is in the expectation of a thing, and then the actuality of what it is and was intended to be.

don't expect action or character development beyond the bare minimum required to execute the message, which is overtly communicated in ways most will likely find More

Unlike others, I would say it was a nice movie from Ridley Scott. Certainly not a masterpiece, but I truly enjoyed it. For his capability this movie was a below par, that's what everyone meant. As for the theme of the story, it was a phenomenal, but the screenplay is what failed very badly. To me, s More
