I've probably seen this movie a dozen times or more. It came out when I was in highschool. We had the soundtrack on repeat for weeks. It's a great movie even to this day. Dark, gritty and sad. The fact that Brandon died makes it even harder to watch. I imagine he had quite a future ahead of him.

I can't believe it took me so long to finally see this. For some reason, I always thought it's the goth version of _The Prophecy_, and I couldn't get into that film at all. But this one's surprisingly great. It's a thrilling and tragic supernatural crime revenge story with incredible visuals and action sequences. It feels like watching a Batman film (I don't remember which one) but better. I very much dig the aesthetic that this goes for and the connection between rock music and lead character's grief and accumulated anger. It feels broody and warm with just the right touches of humor. Lee's performance really stands out for its range of emotions. The soundtrack is awesome as well. The horrible events during the production of this film makes it so much more impactful.

Quite possibly the best film based on a comic book. In fact, I enjoyed this film many years not knowing it was ever a comic and not knowing who Brandon Lee was.

A dark and intriguing fantasy action flick, the Crow is all about the tragic death of a young couple and Eric's revenge after his "resurrection" by the eponymous crow.

"If the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them. Buildings burn, people die, but real love is forever."

The Crow is just such an awesome looking film. The whole atmosphere is dark but dark in a great way. I love Brandon Lee in this as Erick Draven. I love way he looks as the Crow. I really enjoy the soundtrack and I love the way they went with this revenge story.

I have never read the comic it is based on but I am very interested in it but what I have read here and there this is one of the best comic book movies of the 90s. Which sound great, I love the film how can I not love the comic it was inspired by?

Anyway we will never know how Brandon Lee's career would have panned out or how the Crow would be viewed on without the incident but I think that it would still be received as a very good film and still loved today.

I’ve watched it many, many times and still love it. Every goth’s quintessential love story, right up there with Yhe Hunger. Of course the real tragedy of this movie is Brandon Lee’s passing during filming.

"The Crow" brings interesting style and exciting visuals to the screen. This is to be expected as it's directed by the always wonderful Alex Proyas. However not a lot else holds up for me. The soundtrack is dated with the exit of Grunge from the public airwaves and it turns out Brandon Lee isn't quite as charismatic as I thought he was. That in additon to an over-the-top gang of bad guys made my latest rewatch of this movie underwhelming.

the performance was absolutely brilliant, the delivery, the acting, the facial expressions. Was really shocked that he died, at first because he's Bruce Lee's son, but after watching the movie, i'm like damn man what a shame, this dude was amazing.

Like leafing through an old high school journal, this was difficult to get through without cringing at every bad line and self-absorbed thought. I'd recalled the dialog as being fairly pretentious, even through the rosy-red glasses of fond remembrance, but nothing could've prepared me for just how poorly the whole package had aged over the last decade and a half.

Try as he might, Brandon Lee never even comes close to getting over the hump as a serious dramatic actor, even in a mostly-action setting, and the half baked revenge formula he plods through does little to challenge convention. Though its unique visual identity is still a strong point and the soundtrack remains gigantic, there's really little else to celebrate about The Crow in a modern setting. For its time this was a fantastic comic book adaptation, but given the strides made in that field over the last fifteen years it really isn't even a fair fight any more.

The Crow is a dark, action-packed film that became infamous do to the onset death of Brandon Lee. Adapted from the James O’Barr comic, Eric Draven is resurrected from the dead by the Crow in order to avenge his and his fiancée’s brutal murders at the hands of a Detroit crime gang. The cast is fantastic, and includes Brandon Lee, Michael Wincott, Tony Todd, and Bai Ling; each of whom creates a rich and interesting character. Additionally, the dark, gothic aesthetic of the film enhances the story and gives it a vivid and surreal quality. The soundtrack is also exceptional, perfectly syncing with the visual style and tone of the film. The Crow is an astonishing comic book adaptation that captures the spirit of this dark tale of lost and redemption.
