This movie, along with Polaroid, and a few others which were involved with The Weinstein Company have been delayed for obvious reasons. Polaroid has been given its adjusted release date in December 2018 already. Has anyone come across anything definitive regarding The Current War?

@narki Thanks - I hadn't checked again recently. Sounds like it's going to be a while. It's a shame that the few reviews that are out there so far aren't very strong, because I think the late 19th century, Edison, Westinghouse, and Tesla, etc. is great subject matter.

I might be missing something here, but I don't know that the general public would perceive anything as "toxic" as the article suggests. I expect the studio cards preceding the movie to refer to Lantern Entertainment, not The Weinstein Company. The cast and crew shouldn't have to pay for Harvey's transgressions.

If some small percentage of the viewing public actually cares enough to trace the film back to its origins, they shouldn't really be offended - the profits are going to the private equity firm that bought TWC (Lantern Capital Partners) for pennies on the dollar - the earnings certainly aren't getting back to TWC.
