The Daughters of Fire

A female filmmaker returns from a long trip to be reunited with her girlfriend. While making love, the filmmaker says she wants to make a porn film and her lover says she wants to see her family so they decide to screw two birds with one strap on. OK, more than two birds. _Las hijas del fuego_ is a pornographic (it's far too explicit to be labeled 'erotica') road trip which explores Patagonia, feminism and polyamory. While I 100% support what this film stands for and will fight beside it on the front lines of feminism, I found the camera was the character who acted the worst, and the poetic texts little more than an academic excuse letter written by the film student herself. _The Daughters of Fire_ is a good first stop but there's a bit of road in front of us and a long way to go.
