The Electric State

What I hate about modern films, and what is particularly noticeable in this film, is that the background music and sound effects are annoyingly loud, prominent, and intrusive. If films have to do this because viewers otherwise wouldn't have emotional reactions, then films have serious problems. Additionally, I feel like writers can only create five different characters and use them in every film. I mean, every character in this film has been seen a thousand times in other movies. And also the humor which we had also so many times in other movies. Yes, I'm getting old and don't enjoy modern films anymore, but I recently watched "Cast Away" and "The Truman Show" for the first time in a long while. Those older films were so much better. They didn't treat the audience like they were stupid and had real characters. This entire review has been a rant about modern films, but this film is a perfect example of why today's films simply can't compare to those from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.

I was hoping the critics were being jerks. How could a movie with cute robots be that bad? Well it is very very bad and the robots are amazingly un-cute. An impressive failure considering everything it had going for it. And what’s up with those huge ridiculous VR headsets? The writer was a serious moron.
