I really liked this movie, but while I was enjoying it I felt sad too. It's a nice drama comedy that deserves to be watched.

Family or career, why you must always choose. Maybe one day someone will make a film about the successful cooperation of these two paths? ;)

I guess I'm just not the target audience. Yeah, yeah yeah, it's a feel good Christmas movie,, yeah yeah yeah, it promotes the sacrosanct family values over the selfishness of the poor rich self made man so alone in the world. What a bunch of sanctimonious crap ! The actors performances felt halfhearted, the script is not too bad if you like that kind of things, but the movie runs about 30 minutes too long, laying thick its "message".

Don't get me wrong I like a romance, some Christmas movies even, but apart from the superficial resemblance, Nick cage is no James Stewart in "It's a wonderful life" and Brett Ratner is definitely no Frank Capra. I'm giving it a 5, because it's Christmas and I feel generous :)

Surprisingly good movie. Nicolas Cage is a successfull businessman and finds out how his life would have turned out if didn't go to London for a yearlong internship.

Great acting, good music, emotional,.... Maybe a bit too long or too slow at some moments but I really enjoyed it.

:The Family Man: was good, wasn't great. Dragged on a little for your standard feel good movie. The only actual christmas thing about it is
that it is set on christmas day,
wouldn't call it a christmas movie.

You want a cheesy-feel-good holiday movie? You got one. Nic Cage is great in this, and he reacts the same way I would if I got thrown into a glimpse-of-life situation.

Wall Street investor Jack Campbell gets a glimpse at the life that could have been in the holiday film The Family Man. The cast includes Nicolas Cage, Tea Leoni, and Don Cheadle, who all give great performances and have strong onscreen chemistry. The comedy’s lighthearted and good-natured, though some of it’s a little obvious. And the writing has some cleverness to it; as it retells a familiar tale in a new and engaging way. Though it may be formulaic, The Family Man is an inspiring Capra-esque film that has a bit of magic to it.

Got me touched in 2020. Nothing magical but a very warm movie for 2020.

i like the grainy, non sterile feel of pre aughts movies a lot and that certainly helped keep my interred but my god. the wife was far too accommodating and asked no questions. couldn’t be me.
