I'd forgotten how good this movie is but just as good on multiple viewings. Stellar cast (well casted in their respective roles) giving wonderful performance. Well written, heart wrenching drama. Realistic humour from family holiday life. Thoroughly enjoyable. I give this film a 9 (superb) out of 10. [Christmas Romantic Drama]

A surprisingly fun film, and SJP was actually quite lovable. Stick with it, and you'll find yourself smiling.

The Family Stone is a messy, convoluted family comedy that gets lost in itself. The story follows Everett Stone as he brings his girlfriend home for Christmas to meet his family, and the shenanigans that ensue. The film has an all-star cast that includes Sarah Jessica Parker, Diane Keaton, Craig T. Nelson, Rachel McAdams, and Luke Wilson. However, the script is weak; going off on several tangents and the tone is constantly changing. As a result, the story never gets going and is constantly battling between comedy and drama. Lacking focus and clear direction, The Family Stone is an underwhelming and chaotic film that’s not very entertaining.

A decent cheesy sappy Christmas romance. Nothing special but an ok time killer during the holidays.

Fun, Entertaining, and VERY Predictable. This christmas based romantic comedy made me miss my own dysfunctional family. The Family Stone can be enjoyed by all. Luke Wilson was hilarious. Claire Danes looked great and Diane Keaton made this family. You'll laugh, You'll Cry, and you might want to call More

I watched this movie not remembering anything from when it was released, couldn't recall what the trailers contained so I had no idea what it was about. The way the wife was setting it up, I was expecting a kind of _Royal Tennenbaums_. I was glad she was wrong. While I think there are a lot of e More
