I would consider this one of Seagal's better movies, probably right at or very near the pinnacle of his career…before he started releasing all those Direct-to-DVD's because Hollywood wouldn't work with him any more. There are some fairly good fights in here, and Wayans makes the movie "fun". Seagal is…well, Seagal; take that however you want. It's mainly Wayans and the rest of the supporting cast that make this one really interesting. I'm not a Steven Seagal hater; it's just that the guy has some martial arts moves that are incredible and fun to watch, but he's never been much when it came to acting. I like his movies for the violence, not the drama…and I don't plug in a Steven Seagal movie expecting Oscar-winning material. What sets _The Glimmer Man_ apart from so many of Seagal's movies is (as stated before) the terrific supporting cast. The story was clear, made sense, and was good enough to hold my attention for the duration. Sure, like most action flicks, there were plenty of plot holes in it, but at least this one was believable enough that you _could_ "disengage your brain and have fun"_ with it.

**SIDE NOTE** This is the movie that has the guy in the Catholic church singing _Abide With Me_. (I never can remember which movie it is…)
