Featuring Tom Baker (The fourth Doctor "Who") as the villain!

Don't settle for epic adventure movies remade into action movies, they are completely missing the point!

This classic features all the things that made these epic adventure movies so great and the stop-motion animation is superb!

If you're looking for another classic Sinbad movie consider watching The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958).

I sure appreciate this movie much more now than when I was a kid. Ray Harryhausen elevates an otherwise average plot to a whole new level of wonderful with his masterful stop-motion animation. A true treasure.

Anything Ray Harryhausen did was movie gold but "The Golden Voyage of Sinbad" lacks the really stunning creations of some of his other films. There's nothing about the creatures that isn't fun to watch they just lack the pizzazz of his other efforts. John Phillip Law plays a cool Sinbad and Caroline Munro as the slave girl doesn't do much acting but is gorgeous to say the least. Tom Baker as Prince Koura is an acceptably sinister moustache-twisting villain as well. I think the actual story or "voyage" is a little too leisurely. Nothing that Sinbad or his crew do seems particularly pressing even though they are trying to keep Prince Koura down.
