Gets plus points for its intensely likeable casting, all of whom chew up every scene they’re in. But as charming as it sometimes is, it’s all woefully obvious.

What an interesting movie- I have to admit it was not amazing, but the acting was superb. There's twists and turns but most of it is kind of expected.

There was a lot of lies in that film but the truth always comes out in the end. I had a little feeling it was gonna go the way it went. I loved it and great cast that worked well together.

Highly enjoyable to watch, better than I thought it would be. The twist ending was rather obvious but it was beautiful to see it play out and learn about the justification behind it.

An abysmal ending ruined what was an otherwise boring and predictable waste. Oh well, this film might be good for the older crowd...like older than 110.

@saint-pauly huh?! have you even tried to give it a fair chance? maybe you didn't liked it 'cuz it wasn't the usual _pew pew_ avengers style play... the only thing I can say is that your taste has the same value as the score you've given to this beautiful movie...

@rexton Lol, I saw 369 films in the cinema last year, so I've seen more genres than you even know exist. Please research people you try to insult to avoid making yourself look ridiculous. And guess what, not every one likes the same movies you do, get over yourself.

@saint-pauly that's amazing buddy! Working as the lobby boy at the local cinema has its perks ey? I'm sure you're a true connoisseur of the cinema (in your own world)...

@rexton Keep telling yourself that so you can stay safe in your little bubble, but when you're no longer a teenager, you'll understand that film is subjective and you can't criticize someone for not liking the same things that you do. Good luck until then.

@saint-pauly lmao! says the dude who's initial comment criticized the people who might enjoy it:
>this film might be good for the older crowd...like older than 110

notice that I haven't attacked anyone else, but your attitude was just oozing with arrogance and I wanted to call out your bullshit...
if you truly believe that _you can't criticize someone for not liking the same things that you do_ then perhaps you should repeat those words to yourself a couple of times a day so that you may avoid such situations in the future...

So sick of the media using hair clippings for DNA matching. DNA can only be extracted from the intact hair root FFS.

in a sea of absolute effluence this movie is a gem. full of suspense and intrigue. both Helen mirren and Ian McKellen are amazing. even the sound sets the tone for interaction. whilst it is a simple story with a twist it's worthy of your time.

As Mirren says towards the end of the film: This is deeper than you think. I'm sure there are plot holes within the movie somewhere, but its still an enjoyable watch, and this is largely thanks to sterling performances from Mirren and McKellen.

Boring......oh and I really hate Helen Mirren. Maybe if she was likable I’d have enjoyed it. The reason for the revenge was rather weak it looked more like a very strange first time gone wrong but not a ra#e. It was hard not to root for for Ian’s character even though he’s bad. Regardless not worth watching

Good movie with great performances. The twists kept it interesting. A movie about 2 older people.... one a swindler and the other a well off widow. Surprisingly the man loses.

Good performance by the Mirren, McKellen and the rest of the cast but the story and the way it was going to end was pretty predictable very early on. Can't help feeling the film would have been much better with a less preposterous story line that REALLY lacks any credibility whatsoever leaving the viewer far more with a feeling of 'huh!' rather than 'great' when the reason finally unravels. I mean, seriously!

I thought it was absolutely splendid. Good casting, slow but interesting plot and a well thought out script. It was a bit predictable, but some of the surprise storyline towards the end added a nice twist.

This movie delivers quite an interesting storyline which is well executed. The best part though is definitely seeing McKellen and Mirren a film together. They both really are true acting icons.
