Instantly over quirky and weird for the sake of it. Everyone looks stupid because that's funny and because thats the kind of stuff that pretentious hipsters like. The dialogue is dumb and childish. The characters are embarassing. Seems inspired by the worst types of nonsensical and unfunny BBC comedies.

:o :o :o This has to be one of the weirdest films I have ever seen. I really didn't get the ending but overall the movie is really weird, I like weird so this was actually an entertaining movie.

Watching _The Greasy Strangler_ is like watching syphilis do stand-up while gonorrhea negotiates a movie deal in the toilets.

[WTF: Exclamation, acronym from 2016, stands for '**Why** The Fuck' in reference to the indie horror comedy _The Greasy Strangler_; see _The Greasy Strangler_.]

What a ridiculous, gonzo mess. It's going for absurdist humor, and hits sometimes, but drags the joke out far too long. Lol the best review I saw of this said something to the effect of "it's like Beavis and Butthead tried to make a mashup homage to John Waters and David Lynch. Except they fail to be funny or scary"

A grotesque and odd film, destined to be a cult hit. I'm glad I didn't let this film slip through my fingers but I'm not sure I could watch it again. There are good moments, but sometimes the ugliness is wearying.

This is not your usual heart warming father and son movie. This movie is a required taste. Designed for the Fully Baked Connoisseur. Granted that some of the scenes feel a bit forced but the child like playful innocence the characters give off soon have you feeling intoxicated by their antics. I was a bit disappointed by the ending but I still feel it's worth watching if you like over the top sickness.

I really can't tell you how I feel after watching this movie. Crazy weird is what I want to call it but I know it is so much less. I just can't put my finger on the description I want to use. I'll check in later if I come up with anything else.

Beverly Luff Linn brought me to this counter-culture disgustfest of anti-appeal.

It's like the great grandchild of Twin Peaks, Eraserhead and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!

I want to like it but it turns the stomach with not enough nourishment to keep me coming back for more.
