the extent of my knowledge of this guy was the schmoyoho song. had no idea everything spiraled for him after that. definitely uncomfortable watching people go on about everything they did to try to get a piece of the guy. you dont learn very much about kai, but makes you wonder if all of it wouldve still happened had he not gone viral. _im not a virus!_

I'd not heard of the guy or the case before and it was a great documentary but goes to show how social media and the news can put someone on a pedestal when they are a troubled individual who need help.

I'm honestly amazed by how utterly stupid the human race can be. Who could have possibly known that a homeless pothead that bragged about hitting someone with a hatchet could turn out to be a psychopath with mental issues? :rolling_eyes: Not only that, but he takes advantage of other people's kindness just because he doesn't want to settle down or get a job to buy his own shit. Am I the only one that didn't fall for his "kind savior" act? Am I the only one that wasn't surprised that it turned out this way? Honestly, this should be a lesson about turning someone into a celebrity overnight, especially just for one good deed. Being a basic human that helps out someone in trouble shouldn't be enough to make you famous or make you a hero. Even evil can do good sometimes.
