**The tale of an aging iconic actor!**

This film is kind of honours Sam Elliott for his real life achievement. Anyway, he was phenomenal. The film was realistic, so most of the parts were slow moving. This is about an aging film actor, who has not worked on any projects recently. So desperate to get one, but sad news brings a speed breaker to his life. Now confused him, does not know how to approach the rest of the life. He starts with his family to fix the past mistake. The remaining tale focused on his other things.

It was Sam Elliott's major role in decades. This should be watched for him considering his real life as an actor. It will be a good film for those who have seen his old films, particularly westerns. The actor who did not just survived because of his iconic mustache and golden voice, but have given fine performances too. This was a too simple film. It do has emotions, but not appealing enough. I might slightly rated it low, but the film is good, at least for once watching.

You’ve seen this before and probably recently, it was called ‘The Wrestler’ and starred Micky Rourke. Honestly the themes, the tone, the characters, it is all the same. Not only that the film says nothing new, unless you’re fairly young you’ve seen this all before.

There is nothing wrong with the acting as Nick Offerman and Sam Elliott will get me watching a film anyway and they do not let you down. Laura Pepron is attractive and engaging as Charlotte but I do find it galling that she falls in love and has a relationship with a 71-year-old man no matter how charming he is.

Sam Elliott himself seems to be in fine condition for a fellow of the age which makes it more unlikely that he has spent decades, boozing and indulging in drugs without a care. I think you’d probably look a lot more ravaged had that been the case. So there you go, two big bumps in the road that took me out of the film despite the engaging and good cast.

Sam Elliott has broad enough acting shoulders to carry this film to a place that perhaps it should not be and he keeps you watching and then in my case it was only just.

As a relationship movie about how we all mess up and sometimes get redemption this really was a disappointment. Some of the characters were slightly unrealistic and I was constantly being ripped out of the story thinking ‘Hmmmm, are you sure?’

It would be interesting to hear what others who have seen this film think.
