"I'll die rather than become the servant of a demon again!"

The Heroic Trio is not what I expected at all. It was like a Power Rangers bad guy wanting to get a new baby to be the emperor and there are these sisters and a police officer who in the opening of the movie attacks a car thief by using plants to wrap around his neck whilst he jumps out of a building. We have a scientist making a invincible robe, Michelle Yeoh's Ching Ching, who fights badass with a chain, falls in love and instead of killing him wants to protect him, the great Maggie Cheung is the Thief Catcher who flies into a building on a barrel. Shoots barrels full of bad guys who she just caught towards police officers and we have Wonder Woman aka Anita Mui, she's a masked vigilante with butterfly shurikens. And I almost forgot about the bad guy who decapitates people with his weird weapon!

All this happens in 85 minutes and you just won't believe what you see. This was my first Johnnie To film and if the rest of his movies are like this, I want to seek out more.

If you like Michelle Yeoh (who doesn't?) or Maggie Cheung (who doesn't?) or Anita Mui (again, who doesn't?) this is definitely a movie you want to see at least once.
