Finally a movie that tells their real story, a movie that doesn't glorify Bonnie and Clyde but pictures them for what they were - criminals. I don’t know how they were glorified for what they done. Woody Harrelson and Kevin Costner were pretty good!

I was expecting a little more action and a bigger shootout but I’ll let it of by it basing it on true events. I thought kevin & woody made a good team. It was over all a decent film and worth a watch but did drag a little.

Costner and Harrelson kill it in this movie. These guys are great actors. Great to see the other side of the Bonnie and Clyde saga.

Yes. This is a movie which you can enjoy reality, not shows. The famous Bonnie & Clyde couple story is told from men in blue point of view. Costner is doing a fine job with Woody. Definitely worth watching.

Overall, the film was fair, but it was interesting to see this subject approached from a different angle, namely one which doesn't glorify the crimes of Bonnie and Clyde as much as other projects have done.

This movie had a very interesting point of view. I agree it was right to show Bonnie and Clyde as criminals and not heroes. I would have liked to see a bit more of Bonnie and Clyde though, their crimes, to show them in order to demonstrate why these men were called in.

If you put Costner and Harrelson side by side you're bound to get something out of it. They clearly are what makes this movie. But even the smaller roles are well casted. Yes, it is a bit slow but I liked that. That is what a chase is like more often. And that way you learn more about the characters. I don't think that faster and more excitement relates to a better movie. We already have too much of that in todays cinema. It isn't a movie I'd watch more than once I guess but it left me with a satisfied feeling and not thinking I've wasted my time.

More character and period study than action film, this is an interesting, but slightly meandering account of the real life events. Costner and Harrelson ensure it remains watchable throughout the longeurs.

Finally, a movie worth watching. Kevin Costner rarely fails to deliver and Woody Harrelson is always in fine form; together, they form a great duo in this film that tells the truth about Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow: They were ruthless murderers who earned what they ultimately got. And even though hers was a relatively minor role, Kathy Bates nailed her part every bit as much as Costner and Harrelson. I loved the historical balance of this film, the cinematography was excellent, the soundtrack was great without being intrusive, and there weren't a lot of loose ends or flapping storylines that made no sense. Overall, one of the best I've watched in quite a while, definitely worth watching again.

Impressive acting and a gripping story, even for those whom are not familiar with Bonnie & Clyde in the slightest. While most movies portray Bonnie & Clyde as heroes we are now shown a more realistic perspective of whom these 2 lovers really were: downright criminals.

Overall 'The Highwaymen' is an interesting movie and an addition to the crime genre in general. For those looking to get their 'over the top violence and drama fix' will not get it here, but if you're interested in watching a good crime story unfold with a satisfying ending you're golden and I highly advice you to give this one a shot!
