More drugs were involved in the making of just five minutes of this movie than in the entirety of Keith Richards life.

This video work is visualized, "psychotherapy". It is truly in the realm of the divine. The numerous famous scenes, eccentric, unusually colorful, erotic, gross-out, and fully materialized by the alchemy of Mr. Alexandre Jodorowsky, can sufficiently heal patients with "mental disorders" as "psychotherapy" even if there is no dialogue in them. And the film is an ensemble of images of the perverts of the earth, including sexuality, grotesqueness, sanctity, love (or abuse) of the disabled, and contempt for animals, all in one film.
This is not only Alejandro Jodorowsky's masterpiece, but (at least for me) I was healed by this film. It is this visual work, more than drugs or masturbation, that is the source of salvation for me. So this film is a Copernican turn in psychiatry beyond art. Thank you for saving me. And if you watch it without subtitles, you will have a much more enjoyable experience.

This isn't for everyone. If you are looking for intensive filmic experience. Most scenes are very offensive to some, especially religious people. This movie is weirdly beautiful in which it shows the state of our society and how everything is corrupted. Must watch for a cinephile.

By far, The Holy Mountain is one of the most visually amazing films I have ever seen. I am gonna have to rewatch this a few couple of times to analyze it correctly, but man does this shit keep you intrigued throughout the entire thing. Shoookkk.

Found this movie really interesting. Groundbraking photography and visuals, I also liked the music, specially the buddhists sounds.

Amazing visuals don't make up for the weird for the sake of weird. I guess you also have to be spiritual or interested in religion to even start to understand it.

It still has 35 mins to go and my girlfriend has fallen asleep waiting for it to end. That music though?! :D

1973 checks out. Trying to be psychedelic and stoner-level deep. When you are high, "the ball is round" is deep, profound even. And then you sober up and see this laced nonsense.
Anything spiritual in the movie is surface-level and does not deserve association. You certainly won't learn anything new, might even get dumber by the end.
Speaking of associations, never have I appreciated Humane Associations more in my life.
Some shots were nice, liked the babes, loved the baby robot for some reason lol
If you are planning on watching this, I'd stick to regular porn. Although, if you go in expecting a crappy B movie, you might enjoy the sudden too high budget of it.

That was...an interesting experience! The director is either a f**ing genius or a complete Jerk! I'm going with the latter option here. And now, that i've seen everything that the Internet has to offer, you can shut it off once and for all!

The original title of the film is La montaña sagrada.
