Skarsgård killed his role. Absolutely fantastic acting.

@tmo80 holy sh*t! I did not recognize Skarsgård at all. I was too distracted by Jesse Eisenberg—who was born to play one role, and only one role, that of Mark Zuckerberg. Everything else is like a faint and mediocre carbon copy, with a too pursed, internally angry, modulation of speech. every. single. role. But thanks for pointing out his compatriot here. I've never appreciated him much, even in some of his more recent "richer" roles. But you're right, Skarsgård kills it in Hummingbird. And Salma Hayek is brilliant.

The whole idea of just doing that for gaining a millisecond down was thrilling. The acting was superb and the story was really good, kept you to want more. There is no action, but a plain descent story telling with good premise and strong fundamentals .

The subject matter didn't thrill me - fibre-optic cable deals don't get my pulses racing - but this is still a decent film, and that is because of the interesting characters within, and the actors who inhabit them.
