The soundtrack was better than the film in my opinion. I was a little bit bored in some areas an... was it worth making Mockingjay into two parts I mean pulling a Twilight...

Acting was superb however props to Jennifer Lawrence for showing a different side to Katniss Everdeen and also to Josh Hutcherson's acting was flawless.

I'm basically just giving this a bitter score because I found the Mockingjay book just as boring compared to THG or CF.

Didn't Harry Potter turn its final book into 2 movies before Twilight?

In my opinion, the third book is the most boring of the three of them and they shouldn't have made it into two films, it hardly has enough juice for one.

The Hunger Games series is basically just your average action movie, what makes it entertaining and refreshing is that they’ve given the women the interesting roles, while the men get the roles that are usually played by women. This is especially noticeable with the characters Katniss and Peeta, and the roles they play in each other’s stories.

I think what I love most about this movie (apart from the scenes of genuine spirit that give me goosebumps every time, especially the hospital and the dam scenes) is the fact that even after Katniss has left the Capitol behind, the real pain and suffering she and others experience is still being recorded, and dressed up, and used to further someone's agenda - even if it is for a good cause and not about deceiving people or frightening them, it still feels a little wrong. What a brilliant move to have the marketing for this movie use the same font as the propos. While the first two movies already had some realistic moral ambiguity (e.g. the question of how much you're willing to compromise your integrity in order to survive), this movie finally makes clear the fact that while the Capitol definitely isn't good, the fight against it is not (perhaps can not be) as heroic and pure as one might hope.

It feels long and slow compared to the other movies of the franchise with less action and more politics. It's not a bad thing because it's different and we see how Katniss is used by everyone. Unfortunately, it's done poorly and shows that splitting the last book in two movies was not a good choice.

Watched the movie today and sadly it didn't add up to my expectations, and the hype that everyone was making. It is very dull. They wasted great actors like Julianne Moore. The whole movie is just all over the place. I think there was only one arrow shot. They didn't even show the cinematic effect of the bombing of the rebel base. Just some reaction of the actors - not enough. I'd like to remember some scenes while doing this review, but none really stood out, just the face of Katniss with a confused face.

Really, this was the first from the HG franchise that I was expecting it to be, y'know, better than the first 2. But nah, I'll just keep on remembering the scenes from Guardians of the Galaxy and looking forward to The Battle of the Five Armies.
