Incredibly underrated film and honestly kept me thrilled the entire time, still can't believe this is a true story because it truly is shocking knowing this story and the cast/crew pull this story off perfectly as at no point did I find I hate the main character even though you should as the acts he performs are truly disgusting.

Michael Shannon (Robert Kuklinski) gives a career-defining performance as he plays a contract killer who shows no remorse and nothing but love for his family, also one of the best performances I have ever seen from Chris Evans (Robert Pronge) as he for once plays a truly heartless character that honestly makes you feel uncomfortable in every scene.

Also, the film is full of cameos and every single one is perfect as they all contribute to the story. Deffo recommend this to anyone who is into mafia films but also people who are into thrillers/dramas.

I’ve seen this film before but I seemed to have forgot about it and fancied a re watch and It’s definitely a decent film based on true events and Michael Shannon does a fantastic job of the role and loved all the action..

The acting (especially Michael Shannon) was superb.

"The Iceman" starring Michael Shannon, Winona Ryder, and Ray Liotta is a very good film, but the acting impact that films like this usually carry were not present. The film tells the true story of notorious contract killer and family man Richard Kuklinski, who murdered more than 100 people on his days as a hit man for the mob. Michael Shannon plays the leading character in a very good way but the character's lack of expression and lack of physical emotion limited Shannon's talent on this film. Winona Ryder has a good presence as the wife while Ray Liotta and Chris Evans try their best to look as bad as they can without doing a big damage to their image. A surprising appearance from James Franco makes you think why he chose that role when he is currently in a whole different level than 3 years ago. The film itself is very good and does a great job in portraying the 70's decade. Also the story is very interesting if you never heard (like me) of this notorious assassin. If you liked films like "Kill The Irishman" with Ray Stevenson (A film that Robert Davi is also in) and Killing Them Softly with Brad Pitt (A film that Ray Liotta is also in) you will definitely like "The Iceman".

Based on the true story of Richard Kuklinski a sociopath contract killer that has no emotional side at all, he was a family man, a good husband and father. When he was arrested any of them knew which was his real profession.
Even though I knew how the film is going to end and what would happen to that man, it kept interested until the end.
Michael Shannon was amazing one more time, another superb performance. His acting is so intense and powerful!
If you like gangster films like me you should see this, or at least just to see the Michael Shannon shine!
