More of a thriller than horror but it's great. Elisabeth Moss is really good at playing an unstable woman. The action is awesome and shot well. The plot has a few shocking moments.

_The Invisible Man_ is a car in a skid: it has suspense that just goes around in circles until it all falls apart predictably at the end.

Basically, this is a remake of every 80s movie where someone in control (stepfather, building superintendent, roommate) abuses the victim for 90% of the film until the 'surprise' ending that we saw coming so early it shouldn't be called the ending.

Too bad, really, because Elisabeth Moss gives it her all (and she's got so much to give) and the moments of suspense were well constructed.

It starts of pretty well, but then it gets better and better. There are a few places where the logic is a bit thin (not saying it doesn’t make sense, but you have to give it some leeway), and there are a few too many comedic touches for my taste, but other than that, this is a terrific film, powered by an Oscar worthy Elizabeth Moss (who won’t get nominated of course, because it’s not that type of film) and a talented director who will have Hollywood producers begging at his door after making this for a mere 7 million.

8/10

Whannell is definitely someone to follow. This was brilliantly suspenseful and tense.

This is extremely engaging, the viewer can feel the tension. Especially when her sister sees the flying knife! Boom! cut throat. Boom! knife in her hand. Boom! His brother is in on it. And the ending, the expression change! "Surprise." It's fucking amazing!

Very Generic psychological/supernatural thriller with non-sensical poorly written scenario. What motivates the supposed bad guys to do what they do? You guess is as good as mine. Waste of time, and it's a wonder why it got 91% on RT, other than above average wokeness level (metoo)

Lame that so many negative reviews act like Invisible Man is over the top woke. Just because it’s about a woman learning to take control of her life. After being in a controlling relationship. Also because she has a black bestfriend she lives with ?
I find the PC stuff too in your face in most movies these days. This movie was fun though and didn’t preach or push any agendas in your face. Charlie’s Angels was more of a man hating feminism film.
An invisible stalker was a clever idea and fresh. The movie pulls that off extremely well.

@jim222001 actually it's just boring. I agree it's not too much woke or pc, preachy etc. But it didn't entertain me at all.

A fun new look at an old idea. I loved the camera shots. They had you looking around for something that wasn't there .. just drawing you in .. so much fun. Also, if i had the Invisible Man abilities .. i would be watching in on Aldis Hodge. Mmmm. he is fine.
