The Juror

I found myself asking: "Who's that actor? Joseph Gordon-Levitt, really??" Then I looked at the release date and said: "Oooooh. Ok." The movie was quite interesting and it had a good story, but I feel like there could have been a little more emphasis on Louie and his story. It seems like the movie wanted to emphasis him with the opening scene, but didn't follow through. It still made sense, but I felt like his character was a bit weak. Everything else was pretty solid. The actors did well but I never understood how Juliet and 'The Teacher's relationship started. She seems to know him quite familiarly, and follows that up with a pleasant bang, but it just seemed out of the blue to me. Maybe it was a line of dialog I missed or some connection I didn't make. Story wise, it was good. It really got me thinking of the jury process and if juror intimidation is a real thing. I went in expecting 2 hours in a jury deliberation room, and was happy to see the story was much more expansive. This movie isn't my usual cup of tea, but I don't regret watching it.
