To start with, we don’t know how much of the movie is facts and how much is fictionalized. But the movie definitely wants to portray what most people want to believe when there is not much literary on the issue.

But definitely couple of things I feel are good things brought out were, How media is manipulated sometimes and minorities are always controlled by majority.

In my opinion you should watch this movie not because you want to prove your support to any side. This movie clearly depicts the power of cinema and storytelling. Even if you question the credibility of the fact and events shown in the movie but you cannot deny the fact that whatever is shown on screen is a **heartwrenching tale of mascara of humanity.**

It definitely is heart wrenching to watch certain portrayals in the movie. But the problem with most of us that, we believe in everything that we have been brainwashed with. And doesn’t want to accept the facts when they come out. That is the whole reason filmmakers sometimes trying to fictionalize a lot of things to attract audience to see what they want to believe.

Probably the most hard hitting, brutal and disturbing piece of cinema churned out by Bollywood ever; The Kashmir Files blows your mind and how!! The unfortunate events of January 1990 when lakhs of Kashmiri Pandits were compelled to leave their homes and become refugees in their own country is so realistically recreated that you get the feel of actually standing right there beside them witnessing the atrocities they faced.

I want to apologise to each and every Kashmiri Pandit for being ignorant about this genocide in behalf of every Indian who stayed silent and ignorant for more than 32 years. I am ashamed that we couldn't do anything. But Not anymore.
Not anymore.

I think this movie just shows us the mirror of how information is modified, moulded, mis represented and erased.
I think we cannot rely on any information we read or see in this world.
It so happens that all wars happened and will keep happening in the name of religion.
It's a shame how we are brainwashed to give up our lives, our morals to protect an entity and rules that we don't even know who have written and have never even seen. And for this unknown entity we have given up our lives to lay waste to whatever we see right infront, be it humans, nature or our culture.
I feel pain and hopelessness for us, for this world and the generations ahead of us.

With all its propagandist verve, and running in the direction of current dispensation's ideologies gives it an extra bonus to shine but nevertheless it does manage to tap into the grief of the displaced Pandits and shares light on many unspoken facts. Cut short, its a disturbing tale which grips and gripes sporadically. Exemplary performances by Anupam Kher & Darshan Kumaar.

Well I am politically a neutral person, and not biased towards any side. But if i judge the movie on its merit , the film does elaborate certain facts which are bitter and hard to digest. The fate of the Kashmiri pandits was tragic and the genocide might have happened. Still , the presentation seemed a bit exaggerated. Performances are amazing by all stars. A gripping watch nevertheless.

There was an eerie silence in theater!

Jam packed audi. No noisy long queues on food counters of the theater during intermission. Nobody talking a word. Petrified, just looking at each other. Viewers who got their snacks before the movie, in all probability, couldn't eat as I could see trays with almost untouched food in front of chairs when they left. Eyes wet, lump in the throat. Absolute silence. Never experienced this ever before. That's the review!

To be fair, I didn’t expect a lot from this movie and expected that it might just be like a montage of the gruesome things that took place. However after seeing this, I must say, I am really moved by the movie. Not only it shows everything that happened (based on the news in public domain) must also is brilliantly able to put together a proper story around it. Must say, well done to all those who are involved. And a heartfelt thanks to the team for bringing out these atrocities hiding in the secular closet of our nation,
