Loved Nick Offerman, i didn't knew him well. you could compare this to Stand By Me; its not a masterpiece Stand by Me, but it was the movie this kept reminding me. still, one of 2013´s best.

Coming of age story about three buddies. One of them came up with the idea of building a house in the woods. They wanted to had their freedom away from their parents control and became real men finally. Watching them in their little journey of trying to survive in the middle of nothing provides us very enjoyable and funny moments, mixed between comedy and drama.
The acting from the three teenagers is great but I'll make a special mention to Moises Arias who plays Biaggio. Biaggio was hilarious such a funny and weird character, I loved him! The supporting cast was also good.
The cinematography is beautiful, it's beautifully shooted and some of the landscapes are amazing.
Overall, a very charming and enjoyable story about friendship.

I expected more. It was alright. Don't know what else to day tbh. A bit odd that people are not looking for the kids a bit more thoroughly.

Three kids, feeling their way through the anxieties of their mid-teens, get together to build a summer retreat in the woods and escape from a droll season in their parents' homes. It's hearty and funny, a great reminder of the unseen handcuff between independence and responsibility that floats into our lives at that age. The grown-ups are particularly hilarious as stiff, out-of-touch caricatures; everything we see them as during adolescence, rolled up and amplified by a few degrees.

Moises Arias is the best of the young actors, playing a weird McLovin type who somehow falls into the partnership with two long-term buddies. His heavy gaze alone is usually enough to get me chuckling, and the cryptic, emotionally-detached lines that usually sprout from his lips moments later are absurdity at its best.

It can get a little self-absorbed at times, and spirals off into navel-gazing in the third act, but for a good stretch in the middle it's prime coming-of-age goodness.
