This the best movie by Wes Anderson. It's charming, funny, sad and tender, yet magical. The ending... it's heartbreaking and sweet. A must-see for everyone.

This is, by far, Wes Anderson's best film. The ridiculous bits are in proportion to the serious parts, the comedy hits its mark every time, the acting is arguably the best in any of his movies, and it has an emotional edge that is lacking in movies these days. If you like quirky movies then you have to see this one, and even if you don't like them you should give this one a try

This film just harmlessly drags along. The CGI is incredibly bad

This is Murray at his best. Period.

Oceanographer Steve Zissou (Bill Murray) rallies a crew together that includes his estranged wife Eleanor Zissou (Anjelica Huston), a journalist Jane-Winslett Richardson (Cate Blanchett) and Ned (Owen Wilson), a man who may or may not be the son of Zissou.

At the time of watching this Wes Anderson movie, I have only seen one other movie of his, The Grand Budapest Hotel and I think it will take something special to knock it off my favourite of his. This was a decent comedy movie that I didn't expect a lot from, I had never heard anything about it before I watched. There were some funny moments in this and was definitely quite a strange movie. Bill Murray, while his character not the easiest to like, did an excellent job as did Blanchett and Wilson. It wasn't the most interesting of stories, but it was done in a unique way that did keep my interest and I find it enjoyable for the most part. 6/10.

When it comes to Wes Anderson's movies, the goofier and more cartoony, usually the better. This one comes with quite a lot of both, and even throws into the pan some beautiful claymation sea creatures courtesy of Henry Selick. As always, it takes forever to get nowhere, but the characters and overall atmosphere were enough to win me over this time. Although Murray's character felt rather obnoxious at first, he turned out to be the most interesting of the bunch. He seems somewhat aware of his condition but still ends up hurting everyone around him, too busy trying to retain control over the way he gets represented by both the press and his own films. I liked the fact that the movie is about Zissou's documentaries rather than the facts themselves, even though the concept could have been explored further.

The camera work, the music, the sets, and the unique special effects are all great. I just didn't think it was that funny and was a little bored. It's a little too long and dragged in places. Still worth a watch as it looks interesting.

What a weird movie. I couldn´t get one honest laugh out of it, not even a forced smile.

Anderson are my favorite director in a world. His creativity is amazing!! So yeah, this movie are really lovely.

I'll never understand the hate for this movie. A great Wes Anderson flick.

A specific film stuffed with stars, although they do not create the atmosphere there. ;>

It’s not as good as the other Wes Anderson films but still good. The acting is good, Bill Murray is being Bill Murray. The writing is good and the shots and colors are great as in most of the Wes Anderson films. The story is good and Steve Zisso is a memorable character. It feels a little long and at some times boring. Overall it’s a good very unique and interesting movie with emotion and some humor.
