This film lacks everything it needs to make it thrilling or mysterious. The pacing and acting felt off from start to finish. It could have been better if only the actors even tried a little. Rachael Taylor was probably the only good acting here that kept me awake and attentive. Overall, the movie is a big disappointment and waste of a somewhat original idea that could have been much more interesting.

Not great but entertaining and easy to watch. Regular acting.

Definitely the worst of the three versions. All tension is botched and lines dulled by the dialogue’s simple English translation. Also, Americans tend to curse when extremely distressed.

Skip this, and watch one of the other versions.

I really enjoyed this movie. Good script and directing. I really couldn't figure out the killer this an amazing plot twist at the end.

Full of intrigue, The Loft is a dark and mysterious erotic thriller. When a woman is found dead in a loft rented by five friends for secret sexual liaisons they start to turn on each other as they attempt to discover what happened and who is behind the woman’s murder. Karl Urban, James Marsden and Wentworth Miller lead the cast and deliver pretty solid performances. And the script does a good job at crafting an engaging murder mystery with shocking twists and reveals (though it does use a couple of standard tropes). However, the characters are a little underdeveloped and the final plot twist is a bit rushed. Yet while it has a few weaknesses, The Loft is a suspenseful and provocative film.

You'll never see it coming. Great script and directing. They probably left a little too much of the wives out... you'll get it if you watch it. But never saw the ending coming. Perfect who done it. An all star cast would've gotten higher ratings, but probably drawn away from the story itself.

Ignore the bad reviews if you like brain twisters mystery like Agatha Christie. Clearly some people want to be spoon fed.

I did like it, but as with many modern movies the "background" music is MUCH TOO LOUD. It should be called "foreground" music. At times it was difficult to hear the dialog.

Don't get this comment. The background music wasn't overwhelming at all.

I haven't seen the original movie but this looked like a good idea (despite the bad critics I had read) but it wasn't. At first was good with the mystery and the flashbacks but over the half it just went down, with too many twists and mistakes like what Filip did, I mean, the girl cut herself with both hands cuffed and the police it's gonna think it was suicide?... forgettable movie.

She could've drugged him, handcuffed herself to him, cut herself and then handcuffed herself to the bed. But the whole point of course was for him to be guilty of murder so more believable would've been handcuffed her to bed, cut her wrist, then handcuffed himself to her after taking a bunch of pills. Both plausible.
