Unique experience to watch this. I didn't know any Laos movies before watching this one and I have to say the movie has a really nice melancholic touch to it. Its spooky mixed with mystery, I liked it! Its slow burn but I never felt bored, which is a good sign. Also the main actor did a good job.

First Laotian film I've seen and it really stuck with me, which something that most recent films don't do. This is a well-executed, if unusual, ghost story that seems confusing to start with, but wraps up sweetly at the end. The film is slow at parts, quite hard to follow, and really demands your full attention but the concept is original and consistently engaging. It definitely brings up questions about consequences and regrets. It uses a simple yet ambitious, unusual storytelling approach and does a brilliant job of mashing genres to make its purpose shine. I love how subtle the changes between two different time periods and the contrast between advanced technology and the surroundings. It's truly effective and genuinely haunting. Because it's so rich I feel like there's a lot of little details that I've missed and it demands a second viewing in order to soak in all of its goodness.
