Slick, suave, and sexy, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., although occasionally incoherent, is a fun, old-fashioned spy romp with a lot to look at.

Another masterclass in movie making from Guy Ritchie. Fun, smart and the most fun I've had in the cinema in some time. Well worth the price of admission.

The 1960's, a time when east and west didn't get on; not much different to now really! Loved the comedy in this, it makes the movie. When it ended, I was honestly surprised, I was waiting for the next scene... sequel please!

It is hard to pinpoint what exactly is wrong with the film. Ritchie's kinetic style, the period 60s setting and the design are all suited to the material, the film seems well cast and the tone of the film seems spot-on. Perhaps it hews too close to the Bond formula at times - Cavill almost seems like he is auditioning for the role here - but equally, there is a distinct lack of chemistry between the two leads. Both Hammer and Cavill are convincing on their own, but their scenes together don't seem to work as well as they should and for a film like this that relies on their pairing, not only for this story, but also for possible future instalments, this is a glaring problem.

very cool and fun. i enjoyed this film so much i've already gone to see it twice. there's not a lot in this that i didn't enjoy; the acting, the comedy, the action, the soundtrack - it all worked brilliantly together!

Henry, Armie and Alicia steal the show here with great performances. Fun story line, good humour, well paced and a good relaxed watch. If you're looking for an entertaining evening, this movie delivers.

Illya Kuryakin: Goodnight little chop shop girl.

Napoleon Solo: Things might get a little messy!

Illya Kuryakin: I've been briefed on you. Your balls are on a very long leash, held by a very short man.

The worst part of this movie is that there isn't a sequel, but I suppose those last 10 minutes make up for it somewhat.
I was sitting there shaking my head thinking they were gonna try to kill each other again, and then they had a drink instead. Pleasantly surprised.
I can only wish all movies cared that much more about making sense and providing a coherent ending than about shocking the viewers.

Other than the ending though, the best part is that we're repeatedly shown, and not told, that those characters are smart, and when something goes wrong it's _not_ because they got a hold of the Idiot Ball.

One significant flaw of this movie, though, is the same flaw many other movies have: there are two significant female characters, one of them being a villain, who never interact. (Pathetic)

Stylishly made, thoroughly entertaining film, with good performances, but with a bland story.
