Not what I expected at all. A heartfelt, mostly dead serious movie and not campy.

Fantastic film, Sam Elliott at his best but when is that man ever not at his best.

I thoroughly enjoyed the brilliance of Robert D. Kryzkowski’s writing and directing. Finally, something new and original. Sam Elliott gave an award worthy performance and the supporting cast of Aidan Turner, Caitlin Fitzgerald and Larry Miller were exceptional, as well. This is not an exploitation movie, but a story of love lost, regrets and coming to terms with heroism. 10 Stars!

I usually love Sam Elliott movies, but this was a hot mess of a movie. It left more questions than answers. I cannot get that hour and a half back. SMH

So this movie was all over the place. Some of it was so well done with amazing cinematography, and than there’s parts like the Bigfoot scene, where it seemed like they didn’t have enough money in their budget for good costumes. There’s also a love story to this movie, and they literally just ended the movie with no closure to the romance between the to characters. It’s almost like they forgot that part of the story even existed, and all of a sudden they just decided to wrap the movie up. It’s worth a watch, because it has really good parts, but just remember, it has about the same amount of bad parts too.

Turns out killing Hitler and Bigfoot...boring. If Sam Elliott was not such an engaging actor, this movie would be unwatchable.

Like what I said to the fencing sword:
"What's your point?"

If only this movie had been half as cool as its title.

PS I'd like to apologize for Sam Idiot. What the fuck does a mediocre talent from Sacramento know about the Bigfoot?

How a movie called The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot could be so dull and boring boggles the mind. The story follows a retired WWII vet who’s recruited to track and kill a Bigfoot in the Canadian wilderness that's gone rabid and could infect humanity with a deadly virus if it gets loose. Sam Elliot leads the cast and gives a strong, nuanced performance as a man haunted by his past. But the storytelling is poor; requiring the audience to fill in a lot of blanks. And the characters aren’t developed very well. A slow, meandering film that doesn’t live up to its potential, The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot is incredibly disappointing.

This is a very strange film. It could have been really good, but then it just goes and does something surreal and off the wall and ruins it all. Elliot is great in it though.

Sam Elliot does what he does best, and no, I don't mean killing Nazis and hairy apes. He's a great actor, and while the film could have been a little better perhaps, it's still good to see him take the lead on screen.

I thought it would be a bad flick. I was wrong ,this movie is more about the man and what he’s going through. It was very enjoyable with enough Sam Elliot action to keep me entertained, it was an interesting idea.
