As a child, Ed was cleaning his father’s hunting rifles - a surprise birthday treat for the old man - when one of them went off, hitting and killing his mother. On seeing the bloodshed, his father flew into a murderous rage - Ed just barely escaped with his life. Classic 80’s slasher: You’re not there for the acting or story, but for the kills, it delivers. Even though I knew what to expect, I still did not anticipate how gruesome some of the kills were.

Good music and cinematography, but incredibly mundane plot, even for a slasher. A few young adults messing about and being cheeky isn't exactly interesting, no matter how 80s it is. Pretty gory in parts.
