I forgot how absolutely horrible the writing is. Such a great concept ruined by stupid writing and directing. The cops are buffoons constantly running into each other. T.K. is a clumsy oaf that doesn't actually listen to her husband when he tries to explain what he saw. The MVA agents have moronic protocols or are just plain incompetent. Shoot Yulaw in the arm and leg and disable him so he can't escape like he has (apparently hundreds of times) before. We have security guards and cameras that are completely useless. The camera can swivel right to track Yulaw fleeing in less than a second, but it takes ten seconds to return to the starting position. What the hell were the writers and director thinking? The cops can't put two and two together. Gabe or "Gabe" is doing crazy inhuman stuff, but they never once think it weird or question it. They also can't pay attention or do their job properly. For example, when they see Yulaw jump out a window to the next rooftop, they shoot at Gabe on the ground. WTF? The guy they saw jump out the window is on the roof in their line of sight without any obstructions. On top of that, he is in black on a white rooftop and completely stands out. Why are they even looking at the ground? And if they do glance down and see Gabe, they should at least do a double take between Yulaw and Gabe as that would be confusing as hell. Incompetent dumbasses.

I love all the main actors and they did a great job, but the writing and directing is absolutely horrible and lazy. And the explanation with black holes has never made any sense. So they can predict black hole formation. That is unlikely, but okay. When a black hole collapses there is a temporary bridge. The temporary aspect is kinda dumb, but okay. What is really idiotic is that the bridge isn't likely to be anywhere near the location they are tunneling to. I find it unlikely that a black hole forms in proximity of the Earth. Even less likely that multiple black holes form in proximity to Earth. And even less likely they form less than a day apart. And if they actually formed on Earth as the movie seems to indicate by having precise locations in the city, the black hole would start sucking in everything around it. What complete and utter nonsense. They never should have tried to explain how the travel works because they just made it sound so incredibly stupid.

daft power fantasy

I'll admit right away: I stopped watching after the first fifteen minutes.
There's some fun to be had in super-powerful action heroes, bulletproof martial-arts, guns with unlimited ammo in their magic magazines. But this was just silly, bordering on stupid.

If anything goes, then nothing matters. There is no real danger, the fictional stakes are supposedly high but effectively moot, and the motivations shallow.

I didn't waste more of my time on this one, and I think neither should you. Some accomplished actors earned their paycheck here; good for them. A WOMBAT.
