A really generic home-invasion thriller with a very predictable twist. You’ve seen this story before.
The acting was meh. I've never seen such a group of characters that is so utterly dumb. Don't know why Maisie Williams took the role.

Sort of a tame version of _Last House on the Left_ with a surprise twist at the end. If you're looking for a gory revenge movie, this will probably be a disappointment, but it wasn't a bad film; it's just not your typical "homeowners-get-revenge" type movie. There were some loose ends I wish had been tied up and some facets of the movie that could've been more interesting (the worst of the lot seemed to get off too easy, IMO) but in all, it was an enjoyable film and the twist at the end definitely gave it a "pop". I'd still recommend it.

don't waste your time, go watch (or rewatch) villains or don't breathe instead. the movie isn't bad, it's just been done better before. i will say the guy whose mother works for the couple turns out to be _incredibly_ bizarre as time wears on—but that's about as unsettling as the movie gets.

This started out with promise but quickly devolved into drivel after the 5th or 6th barter/hostage situation. Nothing really much else to say, just a hollow, empty movie with decent production.

I don't think it's all bad but the movie is quite generic (based on a 2012 comic book) and it pretty much banks on it's "twist" reveal (or the extent of it anyways) which ended up being quite lackluster [spoiler]the foreshadowing is there since the start and it added nothing on top of it[/spoiler]. With the ending this got it also opened itself up for plenty of lazy writing moments and plotholes (-1).

Superb acting means you learn about the housebreakers characters very early and takes you straight into the story eagerly. Dr Who is a surprising addition and his wife is scary. Tense throughout and not knowing what’s next with a surprising twist at the end.

Good story supported with weak acting! Lacking in building tension and emotion. All the characters are just dumb I wanted to squeeze them! What a waste of time. The aspect ratio change didn't help anything.

I wanted to like it, but meh... Probably too stereotypical. And yes as I've read elsewhere, "don't breathe" does it better.
Shame, though, because the very british setting could have been so much more interesting.

i really disliked this movie. all the characters were unlikable, there was no one to root for. i absolutely wanted it to end, but the forced suspense kept dragging. the twists and reveals were all predictable and by the conclusion i was just thankful it was over because i paused it several times up to that point deciding if i should stick it out. i would have missed nothing i didnt already figure out on my own from the crap writing.

Basic home invasion turned wrong movie, very very similar to ==Don't breathe== up to the _twist_ that is not really one.Adds a bit of humor with the invaders being colorful british wankers and the owners being a nice elderly couple. Most of the interest comes from the nice old doctor act. After that, really nothin special, neither in action or plot.

Dunno why this has such a low score on trakt to be honest.

If you are a fan of 70s, 80's and 90s horror/suspense movies, chances are you will like this too.

Odd, weird and entertaining. Ending wasn't great but wasn't bad either.
