Navy SEAL Shane Wolfe (Vin Diesel) is assigned to protect the Plummer kids from the enemies of their now deceased father while also trying to find a top-secret experiment hidden in the house.

This is not a good film, but admittedly I had a decent time with it. It didn't make me laugh out loud, but I did chuckle at certain parts. For a family friendly movie, the whole opening sequence was not necessary. I understand they wanted to give context of why Shane was there, but it could have been differently.

Vin Diesel does a pretty good job as the tough but light-hearted babysitter. I do wish the kids were written better and went in a different direction than what was shown. Their story arc It just felt too forced and acting from the two older kids just didn't impress me. The Middle child Lulu portrayed by Morgan York did a good job, her arc was quite funny. I enjoyed Lauren Graham as the principal, and she had some good chemistry with Diesel.

It is far from perfect and some of the direction the movie goes could have been better structured, but it did the bare minimum. A few charming moments between Wolfe and Lulu, and Wolfe and the vice principal played by Brad Garrett gives you some smiles and chuckles. It is not a very good written movie, but I expected that and was willing to look past it.

When I watched this for the first time as a kid I loved this movie, and while not unwatchable for me as an adult, younger kids watching with their family will have a better time. 5/10.
