The Pagemaster is on my list of movies that connected me with as a child, but no longer is for me. I loved The Pagemaster when it came out on VHS in 1995. As a 10-year old with anxiety, I connected with the protagonist. Revisiting it today, it felt cheap and lazy. The animation wasn't great. The obstacles were way too easy to overcome. The short run time doesn't do the movie any favors. It did have some good performances and some funny lines. I thought Christopher Lloyd did a great job in the live action segment.

Saw this one when I was younger, not much of any of it was retained in my memory. After a revisit, I can see why. It’s pretty average throughout, runtime is short and segments move by quickly. There is however a song around the 2/3 mark that felt quite out of place.

Doesn't hold up as well as you'd expect, especially for a Johnston film. Not that it's bad at all, it's just very pedestrian. Feels a bit more like an after school special. It's still kinda fun though.

For the love of books! A bit dated these days and really showing its age, but it's still a fun adventure through the aisle of the library.
