The horror movie version of Home Alone. A fun adventure with some gory moments - I can't help but think it would be much stronger and darker if it were made today. As it is, the psychopaths over-acting makes them more comical than terrifying.

There are movies that I can't forget. This one is amongst them. Highly enjoyable. A Wes Craven at his top.

Fun movie. Never seen it, one of the hosts on Action Boyz always talks about it, I finally checked it out. For a horror film, it's funny how much gun action is in it. In an action movie, for sure, but for a spooky house movie I was surprised how much gunnin was going on. No complaints, just surprised.

A unique horror film that blends elements of comedy and suspense in a truly memorable way. The film is both entertaining and terrifying, and its unique approach to the horror genre sets it apart from other films in the genre. Ving Rhymes delivers a standout performance in his breakout role, showcasing his talent as an actor and setting the stage for the successful career that has followed. _The People Under the Stairs_ is a must-watch for fans of horror films who are looking for something a bit different from the typical offerings in the genre.

All I could add to what's already been said here is that the ending is so painfully early 90s, lol

This was definitely a fun older horror movie to watch, but also kinda on the cheesy side by today’s standards.

Stupid but mindless fun. Sometimes looks cheap e.g the actual people under the stairs look like something from Buffy. The lighting through the walls was both cheesy but nice to look at. This is a movie that was made to be stupid. I hope. Most illogical movie I've seen with many holes. Who gave the people under the stairs torches? First half is better. For a movie targeting an audience that likes killer inbreds and such it should have pushed harder, especially in the second half when we're just waiting for the obvious.
I can understand people hating it.

More cartoony than thrilling when it comes to horror. The sets are really cool, especially between the walls. The kooky couple inside the house are fun and chaotic. It's like 'Home Alone' but less believable, if you can imagine that... especially with how these kids escape multiple times, or how they win at the end of the film. The plight of the kid's family isn't really explored, perhaps too much time is spent on moving through the house. Still really fun to watch.
