At 17:00 every day, Andrew, a middle-aged man, drives home from work through Melbourne’s outer suburbs in peak-hour traffic. Occasionally, he offers a lift home to a younger colleague, David. Over a year, their tentative small talk gives way to a warm friendship and open conversation within the confines of the vehicle, incrementally revealing their lives.

[IFFR'22] The director builds the personality of the protagonist during the routine journeys from work to home. A road-movie from the point of view of the interior of the car, in which the viewer is an invisible passenger. The fiction of the interior contrasts with the documentary reality that is seen through the windscreen, in a hybrid that works like a careful clockwork machine, that questions about life and time.
