This movie was really interesting and suspenseful. Reminds me of a combination of "Fear" and "The Cable Guy" (It makes sense that this director went on to direct "The Truman Show.") The part of the plumber was played so perfectly, and on several occasions he veers into the surreal, like Harry Tuttle in "Brazil." I think they were trying to compare his masculine energy to that of a New Guinea tribesman while trying to portray it as toxic. With a different soundtrack and editing, this could have been a comedy.
