Vanessa Hudgens remains terrific, but 'The Princess Switch: Switched Again' is disappointing in every other way. I enjoyed the first, but this is a let down. The plot is woeful, with the set-up and execution equally as bad. The new characters are lame, while what they do with the original lot is boring.

The new character is just annoying, not helped by how poorly they are written; as are the clichéd goons alongside, though noteworthy (for me) to see Ricky Norwood cast as one of them - Fatboy himself. iykyk. Elsewhere, the main bunch from the first film reprise their roles, with the exception of Alexa Adeosun as Olivia - which is a shame.

I admit this isn't anything utterly terrible, I didn't dislike it massively. I wanted a better follow-up though, this is a rather lacklustre attempt. A third film has already begun filming, I'll likely watch it either way but hopefully it's an improvement on this.

The best Vanessa is the naughty Vanessa.

It's not nearly as good as the first one but I have certainly seen worse movies.

Alright MITCHES, this movie is GOOD. YES YOU HEARD ME. IT'S GOOD!!! Okay, yes maybe I have a guilty pleasure for unironically enjoying really bad Christmas movies! And what about it! In all seriousness, if you're going into this thinking it's a cheesy Hallmark-typical Christmas movie, your expectations will definitely be met (whether or not you'll enjoy it depends on if you actually like that kind of thing lol). If you ARE into that kind of thing (like ME), I gotta go on and say hey, this movie actually holds its own pretty well. Christmas sequels tend to get....too cringe to the point of not enjoying it, but I think Switched Again whipped up a solid plot.

It's really sweet, has a lot of fun stereotypical tropes, some wack plot points that you just have to roll with (because duh, it's Christmas), and Sam Palladio (Prince Edward) absolutely CARRIES the movie in his B storyline as the classic Clueless Trying-His-Best White Man (insert trademark symbol here). I love it. Give me a third movie please; I don't care. LMAO
