**Had to see it a second time to be convinced, but The Proposal is a top-shelf rom-com!**

When I first saw this movie in theaters back when it came out, I was not impressed. But after rewatching it, I'm still trying to remember what I didn't like! I was laughing out loud and feeling my heartstrings pulled the entire time. The dog and eagle scene had me rolling! Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are both romantic comedy veterans that prove their skills with the genre in this film. Reynold's quick wit and Bullock's physical comedy perfectly complement each other. The supporting cast and unique twist on the awkwardly forced marriage concept elevate this movie a little further, making The Proposal one of the best of its genre.

NOTE FOR MYSELF SO I REMEMBER SOMEDAY, ONLY REPRESENTS MY OPINION/THOUGHTS FOR MYSELF NOT A “REAL REVIEW“, SO YOU PROBABLY WONT AGREE WITH IT
(also its not my 1st language)
I really dont like romantic movies (keep that in mind) but I thought and hoped this one was different (and I mean.. Ryan is in it.) and the first half or so was going great but than of course they started catching feelings and all that bs and it got cliché and boring. also many things in this movie are very unrealistic, especially them falling in love after that deep hate for each other, you don't change your personality and feelings for someone that quick just bc you spend a few days together. Sure we learnt Margaret wasn't that much of a b deep inside and that was cute but imo that's not enough for Andrew to actually fall in love with her, especially with Gertrude back in the picture, falling in love with a person you absolutely couldn't stand for 3 years or your highschool sweetheart you wanted to marry? Id definitely would've been confused about my feelings... I've liked to see Andrew and Margaret just staying friends or better colleagues than before and some personal growth, but well, its a romcom, what do I expect..
credits were funny tho
