The second in The Santa Clause films is a cash grab of the season that it represents. That being said, it isn't too bad to warrant a very bad score or even a bad time when watching. The story isn't special nor original. The cast is pretty bland still and with the addition of Spencer Breslin it made it just plain annoying. I am not a fan of Breslin's child acting years as all his characters are usually the same with comedies.

So Scott has to find a wife as states "The Mrs Clause" and it seems inconsistent with the lore as when the elves seemed happy to have Scott just replace the previous guy as Santa as they didn't seem to have created an emotional attachment with the last guy. Almost as if they were used to Santas coming and going every year. But as Scott leaves to find his Mrs Clause, things fall apart back home at the Pole. You know, that old story.

There is also this thing between Scott and his son Charlie that seems to be trying to push past all these subplots as the most important but overall doesn't come through as very important and it flies by very quick. Not as to say that the character building in this movie is bad, but it lost the main aspects of the Christmas spirit from the first.

Not much else to say except that the actual love story is ok and a bit unsettling at some points but mainly rushed. But I will still continue to watch this along with the other two movies every year.
