Not quite as dreadful as I remember. In fact it was fairly enjoyable. I think the major flaw here is that it took a long time to get to the major issue: Jack Frost becoming Santa. And then it was too quickly resolved. Had that been the main story all the way through, then it would have worked better.

However, Martin Short plays the part of Jack Frost very well, finding the right balance between amusing and creepy. The scenes where they go back to the first film with Santa falling off the roof was very clever. It reminded me of the second Back To The Future film where they go back to his "Johnny B Goode" performance.

It will never have the magic of the first film, but rather than comparing, it's always good to enjoy sequels as separate films, and I did rather enjoy this film.

I enjoyed this part most of them all. I agree that the main event happens rather late in the movie but still, it was quite enjoyable as kids movie can be for grown up
Liked the time travel idea and clever use of first movie.

I did enjoy this movie but the continuity wasn't great in the past scene and the suspense of belief wasn't there for Alan Arkin's reactions. I think they left this franchise at the right time.

Well I'm in the minority with this...

I actually, admittedly narrowly, enjoyed 'The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause' - terrible title, mind. Most other reviewers clearly didn't and I respect that, but I genuinely found it alright. It's definitely the weakest entry of the series, yet I still found it entertaining enough.

Martin Short (Jack Frost) is the star of this second sequel to 1994's The Santa Clause', outshining lead Tim Allen; who is still decent, by the way. I love Short's character design, he looks ridiculous in the nicest possible way and Frost (why him, I'm not sure I admit) makes for a relatively good villain. All the other cast members take a backseat, while the storyline of Alan Arkin's Bud is very forgettable and arguably needless.

I was expecting to dislike this and the preceding follow-up, but to my surprise they are actually - at least to me - harmlessly fun festive films.

The Santa Clause goes all “It’s a Wonderful Life” in its third installment, The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. Jack Frost, envious of Santa Claus’ popularity, tricks Scott Calvin into wishing that he’d never become Santa; giving him a taste of what the world would have been like had he not put on the red suit. The story is just awful; it’s lazy, contrived, and flat out ridiculous. And the bland performances from Tim Allen, Martin Short and Elizabeth Mitchell don’t help matters. The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause is an uninspired piece of tripe that just recycles material from other, better films.

My favourite out of the three Santa Clause movies. This one in particular I find full of comedy, and I just really like Martin Short

Martin Short is the only new thing in this and I didn't like him so this really has nothing going for it. Just sticking to the first one from now on.
